OVERVIEW
This role is responsible for refinery cogeneration power plant and potable water treatment plant including responsibility for the operation, maintenance, capital projects, and improvements.
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include maintenance and operation of seven 300 psig natural gas water tube boilers totaling 360,000 lbs. /hr capacity and three steam-driven turbo-generators totaling 10.5 MW of generated power and the associated equipment.
Responsible for the Boilers evaluation of efficiencies, flue gas analysis, and annual boiler jurisdictional inspections required by the State, and supervise boiler tube and refractory repairs to make sure all repairs are done as per pressure vessel code.
Maintain and improve the reliability of all rotating equipment in the Boiler and Power House.
Analysis of energy usage throughout the plant. For the Turbo-Generators include analysis of turbine vibration readings and supervise turbine overhauls/repairs.
Provide analysis of mechanical problems with turbines, feedwater pumps, and air compressors.
Water Treatment Plant includes continuous improvement to make sure the Plant produces consistent quality drinking water that exceeds all state and federal requirements for drinking water.
WORK EXPERIENCES
Minimum 2 years of experience required as a Mechanical Engineer working in an Industrial environment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering or a related degree from an accredited college or university.
