The Opportunity:


The Materials Controller is required to provide support from the supply chain team to the engineering, QA and site construction teams delivery. The role will be working to implement our materials tracking / issuance system. Initially materials receipt, tracking and issuing may be done on a manual system but leading to deployment of Aveva ERM in Q4 2023. The Materials controller will become conversant in the materials tracking and issuance portion of ERM and provide coaching and advice to all aspects of the business that interface with materials at the site end.  There will be a significant amount of data entry as well as loading/maintaining data. Role will work closely with materials warehouse team on site. Role will be dual based in both Brisbane CBD office with some days at Ampol refinery site.

In this role, you will undertake the following duties.

  • Work on the implementation and ongoing materials data management tracking system.
  • Liase with engineering / construction departments/ warehouse team on materials controll functions.
  • Work with above departments to develop processes, workflows to encompass Aveva ERM into our projects.
  • Assist warehouse teams process goods receipts. 
  • Working with the site construction team on their MTO material allocation runs.
  • Create MTO delivery reports and generate delivery request lists. 
  • Create delivery picking lists and follow through with warehouse team.
  • Generate and interpret system analysis reports as required.
  • Effectively communicate with internal customers to support the site delivery team.
  • Continually improving planning, scheduling, data management and job reporting systems to increase planning effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Understand long lead time plans to ensure all materials are processed to not delay execution.
  • Provide administrative support to the Materials Manager when required.


Skills Requirement:

  • At least 3 + years’ experience in a similar role with demonstrated experience using ERP systems, such as SAP / Oracle etc.
  •  Would be ideal for someone with EPC materials control experience.
