Weight Control Manager

The Weight Control Engineer Manager for Modularization Projects is responsible for overseeing and managing the weight control engineering activities and teams to ensure that modular projects are executed effectively. This role emphasizes the importance of weight in modular construction as it directly impacts costs, safety, transportation, and assembly. It requires a combination of technical expertise in weight engineering and strong managerial abilities.

The Weight Control Engineer Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that modular projects are executed with precision in weight management, which directly impacts the efficiency, safety, and success of the project. This professional bridges the gap between technical expertise and managerial oversight, ensuring the smooth execution of weight control activities in modularization projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning:

-Lead the development and implementation of weight control strategies for modularization projects.

-Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure weight objectives align with project goals.

Weight Management:

-Develop, implement, and maintain weight control procedures and tools.

-Ensure accurate weight tracking throughout the project life cycle.

-Perform weight verifications and validate weight control reports.

-Collaborate with design and engineering and procurement teams to optimize weight while ensuring project requirements are met.

-Address any weight discrepancies or deviations and provide corrective actions.

-Maintain forecast of weight of modules aligning the subsequent development of engineering and procured item by always granting to be inside the forecast of the weights.

-Constantly check and report on the COG of modules,

-Redact weight control report and database.

Team Management:

-Lead, mentor, and guide the weight control engineering team.

-Manage recruitment, training, and professional development activities for team members.

-Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the weight control team and with other teams.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

-Engage with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to communicate weight control requirements and objectives.

-Present weight data and reports to project stakeholders and management.

-Liaise with fabrication and transportation teams to ensure weight considerations are understood and applied.

Safety & Compliance:

-Ensure all weight control activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

-Advocate for safety in design and recognize the importance of weight in relation to module transport, handling, and assembly.

Continuous Improvement:

-Keep abreast of latest technologies, techniques, and industry trends related to weight control in modular projects.

-Promote and implement best practices to optimize weight control processes and enhance project outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience:

-Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.

-Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

-Experience in modular construction projects.

-Advanced understanding of weight control principles, methods, and software.

-Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations related to modular construction.

-Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
