Fully remoteAbout this role: Subsea Supervisor
On behalf of our client, a global energy company founded in Australia, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Subsea Supervisor to join their team.
The Subsea Supervisor will play a pivotal role in planning and executing well completions, ensuring they are fit for purpose, cost-effective, and aligned with business requirements.This role will involve representing the company when interacting with completion service providers, both at
vendor locations and on the rig site.
- Manage and direct activities of the Subsea Service Contractors in the execution of the completion program.
- Witness tool assembly and function testing at vendor locations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, procedures.
- Integrate completion activities into the HSE program on the rig and ensure its effectiveness.
- Direct, supervise and optimise all subsea operations.
- Verify ROV tooling and operating instructions.
- Monitor, document and report all subsea operations.
- Review and implement Lessons Learned.
Operations & Engineering Responsibilities:
- Participates in reviews and risk assessments.
- Provide operational support during preparation of the completion program.
- Drive wellsite performance through job planning and post-operational reviews.
- Communicate subsea instructions in writing for review and approval.
- Daily reports are prepared and ready for WSL review and approval.
- Ensures all Subsea related Safety & Operational Critical items are verified including:- Fluid cleanliness and properties
- ROV activities are planned and witnessed- Well control standing orders & communication of subsea valve status
- Trip sheets & Tubing tallies- Torque measuring equipment calibration and settings
- Stack up & space out measurements- Pressure testing witnessing and evidence gathering
Health, Safety, and Environmental:
- Initiate & lead pre job safety meetings and AAR’s for completion activities.
- Support HSE programs and set an example to others.
- Demonstrate and encourage “STOP Job Authority”.
Risks:
- Participates in Campaign, Well & Operational risk assessments, & HAZOP’s.
- Understands Risk Bowties, Critical controls and verifies compliance to standards.
Costs:
- Ensures accuracy of field service tickets from field completion service personnel.
- Accuracy of costs entered the daily reporting system.
- Demonstrates financial responsibility and identifies cost saving opportunities.
Supply:
- Provides feedback and support to the contractor management process.
Quality Assurance:
- Witness assembly of subsea assemblies at suppliers’ bases.
- Provides feedback & input in NCR’s and Failure investigations.
- Ensures all standards and procedures are followed at the wellsite.
Regulatory and Joint Venture:
- Ensure operations are conducted in compliance with local regulations.
Development:
- Drive own technical and professional development.
- Mentor and train others regarding subsea operations
What you need to bring:
- Engineering degree or equivalent in industry experience.
- Basic drilling, completion, and intervention technical courses.
- Skilled in process safety.
- Experience in a subsea role.
- Wellsite experience.
- Supervisory experience with a services contractor a plus
- Australian Full working rights
