We are working with our Client to source a Senior QHSE Advisor role. This is a staff role based in Aberdeen, with some travel in the UK and Europe.
Reporting to the Global QHSE Manager, this is a stand alone role (with no direct reports), covering QHSE for over 100 colleagues.
Main Purpose of the Role
Work closely with the leadership team to consistently work to all quality, occupational health, safety and
environmental standards applicable and to assist in the development and improvement of such standards.
Develop, maintain and improve the business Integrated Management System to underpin QHSE and operating standards
Support the training and development of all staff to ensure awareness and understanding of QHSE Standards and the relevance to business objectives.
To manage all accident and incident reporting and assist with subsequent investigation process.
Drive standardisation of processes and procedures from operational lines of business
Work to achieve safe working practices across all group locations
Reporting and analysis on QHSE performance and results coordinated to General Managers, RVP and the
Group QHSE management.
Liaise with staff, clients and suppliers to resolve any NCR's and provide opportunities for improvement.
Maintain quality, occupational health and safety, environmental management systems ISO certification.
Perform inspections and audits for ensuring compliance requirements of the business are met according to applicable legal and regulatory requirements, ISO management systems standards and defined Company policies and procedures.
Involved with quality improvement projects and supporting Lean management campaigns by Teams.
Raise the profile of the QHSE function and lead by example in line with our values; Conscious, Committed, Curious
Support and facilitate a QHSE business plan incorporating best practice standards in line with the operational needs of our Client.
Hands on approach to working with the Business in relation to all QHSE matters, providing advice, guidance and specialised support as required.
Monitor and advise on all QHSE topics in relation to statutory requirements and industry best practice.
Carry out regular internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of systems and procedures with a view to
ensuring our Client adheres to best in class working practices
Development, design and delivery of internal QHSE workshops
Proactively demonstrate the value of the QHSE function by supporting and implementing new initiatives and lessons learned to develop QHSE relations between office and workshop staff by increasing cross function understanding and exposure; safety meetings, toolbox talks etc.
Commitment to ongoing improvement of safety and environmental performance.
Education | Qualifications
Degree qualified in a relevant subject (or relevant experience)
Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (or other applicable standards)
NEBOSH or IOSH certification (preferred)
ISO qualifications covering 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001(ISO 45001)
Knowledge | Skills | Experience
Familiar with UK regulations on OHS and Environment
Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office Software i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook
Flexible approach to tasks and roles
Knowledge and experience in applying lean management for organisation
Knowledge of best QHSE industry practice and an ability to discover this
Established network in relation to QHSE
A meticulous approach to ensure all safety and environmental protocols are followed.
Demonstrable experience in developing and maintaining quality assurance, health and
safety and environmental systems
Analytical skills to evaluate safety and environmental data and make data-driven decisions.
Familiar with risk management, incident investigation and reporting procedures, carrying out audits
and delivering safe operations in the work environment
Proficiency in emergency response planning and execution.

Familiar with Mango Software
Familiar with EU / NL regulations on OHS and Environment
