On behalf of Chevron, one of the world's leading integrated energy companies, we are seeking for an experienced Subsea Controls Engineer to join the Pre Operations Team based in Perth.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on multiple upcoming projects.
- Manage and maintain subsea Master Control Systems, ensuring their efficient operation and reliability.
- Collaborate with OneSubsea and BHGE vendor systems to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
- Commissioning and start-up activities for subsea control systems, ensuring they meet performance and safety standards.
- Provide ongoing support for subsea control systems during operations, troubleshooting issues, and optimising performance.
- Integrate subsea control systems with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and safety systems, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.
- Oversee the design and maintenance of Process Control Networks to facilitate topsides integration and data exchange.
- Maintain expertise in hydraulic and electrical systems relevant to subsea equipment control, conducting regular inspections and repairs as needed.
- Develop, review, and update documentation deliverables, including Strategy & Execution Plans,Commissioning Procedures, Test Plans, and other relevant documents.
- Manage safe work processes, including permits, Management of Change (MOC), Pre-Start Safety Review (PSSR), and Completions, to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and project managers, to ensure the successful execution of subsea control projects.
- Implement quality assurance measures to ensure subsea control systems meet industry standards and compliance requirements.• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement in subsea control operations• Be prepared to respond to emergency situations related to subsea control systems, contributing to incidentinvestigations and resolution
• Provide training and knowledge sharing sessions to team members and stakeholders to enhanceunderstanding of subsea control systems and their operation.2/2• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, and requirements
What you need to bring:
- Knowledge of subsea Master Control Systems (MCS);
- Nice to have – familiarity with OneSubsea, BHGE vendor systems
- Focus on Commissioning, start-up and operations experience
- Integration with DCS and Safety systems
- Understanding of Process Control Networks for topsides integration
- Understanding of Hydraulic & Electrical systems for subsea equipment control
- Ability to develop documentation deliverables – Strategy & Execution Plans, Commissioning Procedures, Test Plans, etc.
- Experience with managing safe work processes – permits, MOC, PSSR, Completions, etc
- Australian Full working rights
