Fully remoteA leading renewable energy development company specializing in onshore and offshore wind, hydrogen, solar PV, and battery storage projects in Ireland, are seeking a Project Engineer within the Hydrogen space.
As a Project Engineer focused on hydrogen development, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team, responsible for planning, managing, and executing hydrogen projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful delivery of onshore and offshore wind, hydrogen, solar PV, and battery storage projects.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Project Planning:Develop comprehensive project plans for hydrogen-based initiatives.
2. Technical Expertise: Utilize your technical knowledge of hydrogen production, storage, and utilization to oversee the design and implementation of hydrogen infrastructure components.
3. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and national regulations, permits, and safety standards relevant to hydrogen projects. Liaise with regulatory authorities as necessary.
4. Vendor Management: Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and engineering firms to procure equipment and services needed for project execution. Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships.
5. Project Execution: Oversee the construction, installation, and commissioning phases of hydrogen infrastructure, coordinating activities and resources to meet project milestones and quality standards.
6. Risk Assessment: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Implement best practices for risk management to ensure project success.
7. Budget Control: Manage project budgets effectively, tracking expenditures and ensuring cost control measures are in place throughout the project lifecycle.
8. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, prepare progress reports, and provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
9. Collaboration:Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, scientists, environmental experts, and project managers, to drive successful project outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in renewable energy project engineering, with a focus on hydrogen-based technologies.
- Familiarity with hydrogen production, storage, and utilization technologies.
- Project management skills, including budgeting and scheduling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of local and national regulations in the renewable energy sector.
- Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
