Lab Technician
Camp room provided
Schedule: 14 days on and 14 days off
Location: Fort St John, BC
Contract: Initially 6 months
Role is site based, where the central job function will be to conduct chemical analyses of process samples and provide accurate data to operations in the Gas Plant and Water Hub areas. The successful candidate will also comply with a QA/QC laboratory program to ensure accurate reporting.
Key accountabilities
Water chemistry knowledge and analytical chemistry background.
Minimum Chemistry technology / Laboratory technology degree; diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years analytical and QA/QC experience.
This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to the relevant requirements of the Alcohol and Drug policy, which includes pre-assignment testing.
Experience in troubleshooting, modification, and validation of methods.
Proven ability to maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
Self-starter: ability to work with limited direction.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Basic skills in Microsoft Productivity programs.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, utilizing strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to comply with a 14/14 rotational schedule, day shift and night shift.
