About this role: Piping Superintendent

Purpose:
- Responsible for executing, managing, and coordinating all site activities related to piping and delivering the assigned fabrication/integration yard work scope; Meeting the stipulated HSSEQ, Quality, engineering, and project specifications within specified timeline and to the satisfaction of the client.
Requirement:
- Oversees all site execution by planning, managing, coordinating construction, commissioning & pre-ops execution strategy and day to day activities; Provide overall technical direction the construction; Coordinates project execution and planning with the relevant parties, departments and agencies;
- Ensure that site document control procedures are being followed and all latest revision documents received, filed, and distributed to concerned parties;
- Review and ensure contractors detailed overall planning, schedules, manning levels are aligned with company’s expectations;
- Attend weekly/monthly meetings with contractor’s and client and communicate all requirements and concerns related to the project;
- Prepare and issue weekly/monthly reports and forecast, including summary of construction progress, manning requirement forecast and make recommendations as necessary;
- Review and ensure all engineering deliverables are being received in line with forecast schedules;
- Ensure all contractor’s procedures and method statements are acceptable and issued to relevant parties;
- Coordinate the site supervisors and QC inspectors and ensure they fully understand their roles and responsibilities for the duties they are assigned;
- Assign and organize all required piping supervisors and QC inspectors to ensure contractors and vendors are completing all construction activities and fully complying with company procedures and quality expectations/requirements where needed to meet targeted schedules;
- Review piping supervisors and QC inspector’s daily reports for progress and concerns;
- Review and ensure piping material delivery is aligned with forecast schedule and coordinate and expedite any shortfalls;
- Ensure contractor has sufficient Workfront and no impact caused by delivery delays;
- Review and ensure vendors are mobilized when required as per schedule;
- Review and ensure main contractor mobilizes specialist sub-contractors in line with the project schedule;
- Ensure all fabrication shops, material laydown areas are adequate to meet the project requirements and expectations;
- Day to day Supervision of piping fabrication and installation work and other related piping activities at the construction site and ensure that the work is in accordance with the design plans and specification;
- Comply and implement Modec and yards HSSEQ policy, ensuring all personnel fully understand and communicate through training, toolbox talks, care cards and risk assessments etc;
- Arrange awareness and skill enhancement training for all activities when required;
- Ensure contractor has all the required resources to complete all activities;
- Ensure all piping and equipment are being preserved and maintained as per project requirements and specifications;
- Provide overall technical assistance and coordinate activities with other disciplines;
- Ensure all piping systems are completed as per priories and commissioning sequence;
- Prepare and issue detailed work packs for integration and carry over works;
- Ensure that all construction milestone dates can be achieved as per schedule.
What you need to bring:
Requirements:
- Certification in a Trade Certification with track record of construction of at least 2 FPSO project with module fabrication, integration of marine and topside modules. Minimum of 8 years work experience in EPC of onshore/offshore Oil & Gas or FPSO projects;
- Track Record in Site Construction Execution; Knowledge of project management, manufacturing principles involved in coordination and deployment of both human and material resources;
- Basic understanding of construction management, project management, construction methodology principles, quality assurance and HSSE requirements;
- Demonstrate interpersonal skills with effectiveness across functional, racial and national boundaries;
- Strong working knowledge of marine construction AND topsides modules structure/piping construction;
- Strong working knowledge of contractual documentation (contracts, waivers, addendums, annexes, scope changes, contractual schedule etc;) and ensures planning and execution complies with contractual requirements;
- Strong Working Knowledge of certification body requirement and regulatory requirement;
- Strong oral and written communication skills in to guide & communicate information to multi-national personnel and different levels of work force and a large variety of vendors and fabricators.
