About the job:

We are recruiting engineering and project professionals for various roles for a Project Management Consultant (PMC) team to be engaged on an offshore project to be executed in Denmark. The PMC roles being recruited would work within the client Project Management Team, with the candidates acting for an on behalf of the client, overseeing a competitive FEED by two contractors, and later execution of the EPC contract.


Home base for the roles is Copenhagen, Denmark, with attendance to both FEED contractor’s offices required as per the below indicative schedule:


Week 1 – Home Office (Denmark) – Monday to Thursday, with Friday work location as desired

Week 2 – Contract 1 Office (UK or EU) – Monday to Thursday, with Friday work location as desired

Week 3 – Contractor 2 Office (EU) – Tuesday to Friday, with Monday work location as desired


As per the schedule above there is a level of flexibility within the three-week cycle.


All positions are 2-year contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

•      Reports to the Project Manager and acts as the Single Point of Contact of engineering for the Project as per the schedule.

•      Responsible for all engineering activities undertaken on the Projects, coordinating and supervising all engineering activities related to the Project. This includes ensuring that all engineering work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.

•      Manage all engineering activities and ensure they align with project objectives, specifications, and quality standards. This includes overseeing the design, planning, and execution of engineering tasks.

•      Sets goals and develops action plans for delivering results.

•      Develops, implements and manages strategies and organisational plans for project execution consistent with established program business plans, training objectives and HSSEQ policies.

•      Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team. Review and approve engineering designs and changes.

•      Implement quality management processes specific to engineering and ensure compliance to engineering standards and best practices. Monitor the quality of engineering work and intervene as necessary to correct any issues.

•      Identifies and facilitates manpower requirements to meet project demands

•      Identifies and utilises Subject Matter Experts as required for technical queries or issues, as required.

•      Identify potential engineering risks and develop strategies to mitigate these. Implement these strategies and monitor their effectiveness.

•      Collaborate with Project Manager and Interface Manager in review of Engineering contractor schedules. Ensure coordination across all parties involved in the engineering process.

•      Ensures the availability of adequate resources and their ability to integrate into project teams that execute quality and cost-effective engineering designs

•      Promote the completion of these project activities within their assigned schedule and cost constraints.

•      Continually develop and improve methods and procedures to ensure highly effective and efficient engineering execution.

•      Accountable for the guidance and performance of all technical teams.

•      Regularly report on engineering status, including any changes or issues that may impact project deadlines or budgets, to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.

 

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

•      Minimum: Bachelors degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or other relevant fields).

•      Desirable: Masters degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or other related field.

•      Experience as a Project Engineer or a similar role with responsibility for executing and overseeing individual engineering projects.

•      Experience in leading and managing engineering teams, especially in a project-based setting, desirable.

•      Familiarity with the technical aspects of EPC and EPCM, including FEED projects, including relevant tools, software, and methodologies.

•      Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies.

•      Ability to troubleshoot and address issues that arise during the project lifecycle.

•      Proven capability to lead teams, make decisions, ensuring team alignment with project goals and working with teams remotely.

•      Strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.

•      Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
