Fully remoteOur client a major Oil & Gas operator are looking to add an Electrical Technician to their team working Offshore in the Southern North Sea.
Roles will be contract based, 2 weeks on 2 weeks off, 12 hour shifts and initial period will be 12 Months. Rates on offer are strong, employed on a PAYE basis only.
Candidates must have existing right to work in the UK to be considered and have active BOSIET / MIST and an in date medical.
This role is responsible for providing maintenance and operations support on Offshore Installations. The primary focus of this position is to carry out Electrical maintenance and repairs on all aspects of the Electrical and Generation systems offshore, ensuring site performance standards are always adhered to. You will assist onshore engineers with sketches and drawing updates for any management of change modifications that are implemented, also support installation work where required and carry out diagnostics checks as required for any key equipment breakdowns.
Key Tasks:
Plan and carry out any preventative maintenance or breakdown repair tasks to required standards and procedures, minimising impact on production
Complete all weekly maintenance routines as defined in Maximo (Maintenance Management System) and ensure that maintenance routines are completed with the appropriate amount of detail
Ensure jobs are raised in Maximo to address all known defects. Order all required materials and where appropriate feed the job into the plan.
Implement operations and maintenance procedures, policies, and safe working practices for your areas of responsibility
Act as a Performing Authority and Electrical Isolating Authority as required
Manage and maintain Electrical isolations across the Installation
Supervise vendors & contractors within the Electrical discipline
Provide onsite assistance for Project teams, Vendors and sub-contractors as required
Ensure a clear and concise discipline handover is provided on each crew change
Attain & maintain individual competencies via competency management system
Produce switching procedures for any High Voltage (HV) switching
Check, Inspect, Test and Maintain all temporary and portable equipment brought onto the Installation
Provide any necessary practical operational training and mentoring for candidates working towards their assessment as an Authorised Electrical Person (AEP)
Attain additional competencies to act as member of the emergency control team or fire team as defined in the Installation Emergency Response Plans
Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are always adhered to and actively promoted
Always demonstrate good safety behaviours, maintain good lines of communication between colleagues & management and stop all unsafe acts witnessed.
Actively participate in continuous improvement processes

Strong technical background qualified to a minimum of HNC or equivalent
Experience:
Completed a time served trade apprenticeship
Experience in the offshore/onshore Oil & Gas Industry or related industries
Personal Attributes:
Work alone or part of a multi-discipline team
Safety leader, good communicator, ability to build positive relationships between technicians and
management
Self-driven to imp
