Primary purpose of job
• Focal point for the tax affairs, such as international tax planning, consulting and compliance, of QatarEnergy Group (‘’Group’’) in relation to a geographical region, a number of jurisdictions, a number of entities, a sub-industry, a type of activity or any other tax focus area (‘’relevant focal point area’’).
• Monitor legislative developments relating to the relevant focal point area to ensure Group tax compliance and raise pertinent matters to Management.
Experience & Skills
- At least 15 years of international tax experience in a Big Four firm (Deloitte, EY, KPMG or PwC) and/or in industry
- Fluent in English.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to operate in multi-task environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a cross function working environment.
Education
- A Bachelor’s degree in (Tax) Accounting or (Tax) Law from a reputable university is a minimum requirement.
- A Master’s degree in (Tax) Accounting or (Tax) Law from a reputable university is preferred.
- A Chartered Accountant degree or other recognized international professional qualification in (Tax) Accounting or (Tax) Law is preferred
