You'll serve as a trusted consultant to management on HR matters and have the opportunity to lead or contribute to projects enhancing organizational effectiveness.
Function description
- Perform operational HR tasks, including addressing inquiries from crew members regarding various conditions such as country-specific regulations and collective labor agreements.
- Conduct regular meetings with relevant business units, offering HR guidance and support to line management as needed.
- Manage and resolve employee-related issues through investigation, communication, and problem-solving.
- Offer performance management guidance to line management, including coaching, counseling, and facilitating career development.
- Collaborate closely with management and employees to foster positive work relationships and drive improved results.
- Develop contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
- Assist international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human resource management or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience as an independent HR professional within a large international organization (preferably in the maritime or offshore industry).
- Proficiency in multiple HR disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, and performance management.
- In-depth familiarity with Dutch HR regulations and statutes.
- Proficiency in both Dutch and English languages, demonstrated through strong verbal and written communication skills.
