Scope of Work:
Kent is looking for a Senior Cost Controller - Outside of IR35 to be based in Woking for a 12-month period. In this role you will be responsible for providing a complete Cost Engineering service to both project and corporate management for Proposals and Projects either as part of a large project team or covering all Cost Engineering aspects on smaller projects.
Key Deliverables:
• Develops the cost work breakdown structure which aligns to planning and progress and contractual requirements.
• Assists in developing and implementing requirements for cost recording, reporting, and analysing and reporting.
• Independently provides financial reporting and trending for the Project Controls Manager (PCM).
• Prepare and manage the staffing plans (cost and job hours).
• Prepare and coordinate cost reports.
• Collects and classifies cost engineering data.
• Performs data analysis and development.
• Assists in developing and implementing requirements for cost recording, reporting, and analysing and reporting.
• Independently provides financial reporting and trending for the Project Controls Manager (PCM).
• Prepare and manage the staffing plans (cost and job hours).
• Prepare and coordinate cost reports.
• Collects and classifies cost engineering data.
• Performs data analysis and development.
• Performs any other duties as directed by the PCM / Project Controls Director.
Key Requirements:
• FEED, EPC / EPCm experience in the oil & gas sector in a similar role.
• Experience of leading planning delivery.
• Capable of performing duties with no direct supervision and within agreed schedules and budgets.
• Understands the project deliverables, milestones and required tasks and targets through the project progress measurement system.
• Capable of using initiative, knowledge and experience to recognise, highlight and address opportunities and threats as and when they emerge.
• Knowledge in capital cost and services cost.
• Knowledge of scope change management.
• Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up work processes.
• Proficiency in using multiple Cost software applications e.g. Ecosys, SAP, ORACLE etc.
• Demonstrated skill in identifying, analysing, and providing innovative solutions to cost problems.
• Knowledge of financial reporting systems and account coding including Project Financial Status Reports and Earned Revenue Determination.
• Knowledge in the use of computers and several basic software applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint for executing work processes
• Skilled in oral and written communication.
• Strong communication, leadership and organization skills.
