This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Designer to join a highly skilled Design Drafting team at the clients office in Westhill, Aberdeenshire on either a staff or contract basis.

As the Senior Designer, you will be able to work on a hybrid basis and will also have the opportunity to work on a permanent staff basis or a Limited Company contract basis.

As the Senior Designer, you will be joining a professional group of CAD Designers with good work ethic and team sharing mentality, working in one of the most energy diverse and innovative industries in the world. The design team provides a variety of design skills and disciplines to support all project phases from tender and design through to installation and commissioning.

If you are a Senior Designer with extensive AutoCAD / Inventor experience, a design drafting background in structural / piping and have a desire to work in a stimulating environment within a global subsea engineering company then this could be a great opportunity

What will you be doing?

Some of the projects and work scopes you will be involved with are:

• Bundle design and installation

• Pipelay

• Subsea structures/manifolds

• Field developments and tie-ins

• Inspection, Repair and Maintenance

• Installation / Decommissioning

• Vessels / Equipment

• Renewables - Floating Wind, hydrogen storage, carbon capture

• Tenders / Studies / Feeds

• You will be required to work under minimum supervision, applying drafting techniques to complex designs and assignments using industry standards and codes

• Apply acquired knowledge of relevant engineering principles to complement the design process

• Create engineering drawings, 3D models, layouts and sketches

• Assist in checking drawings for accuracy and completeness

• As the Senior Designer, you will be capable of overseeing small project work scopes which may encompass less experienced designers (staff only)

• When required, mentor trainees and less experienced designers (staff only)

What experience is ideally required?

• Recognised Engineering HNC / HND Qualification
• As the Senior Designer, you will be proficient or have extensive experience of AutoCAD and Inventor
• As the Senior Designer, you will have extensive drafting experience.
• Heavy structural / piping experience.

• • Subsea / renewables background
