Part A: Job Specification

Job Purpose

Provide technical expertise in onshore/offshore structures and infrastructure aligned with department objectives in meeting Company strategy.

Job Context & Major Challenge(s)

Operates in technical environment with interface with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Required to contribute to other multi-disciplinary tasks whilst providing expertise in specialised area.

Key Job Accountabilities

1. Prepare Conceptual Study, Design Basis, and civil/structural/marine/infrastructure design as per Qatargas Specifications and International Codes such as BS, OCIMF, PIANC, ISGOTT, ASCE, ACI, AISC, AASHTO, USACE, UBC, API RP and Qatar National Construction Standards.
2. Provide technical expertise support to Project Team on FEED to detail design, construction and installation.
3. Coordinate all aspects of civil/structural/marine engineering and provide technical support to operation and maintenance for across QG offshore/onshore facilities in addition to supporting Major Projects.
4. Develop civil/structural detailed drawings for the department.
5. Perform all the necessary complex/high level analysis as per the applicable specification or codes along with computer analysis software like STAAD.
6. Provide technical support in all sessions of Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), RHAZOP, Risk Assessment, Lifting, Excavation Certificate, Inspection Program, etc.
7. Liaise with consultants or shareholders, represent Qatargas to outside agencies, conduct technical presentations and support Junior/IDP engineers to develop their capabilities

Qualifications

BSc. Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.

Knowledge and/or Experience - I

8 years' experience in an oil and gas environment.
Experience in greenfield and brownfield Civil/Structural/Marine for both onshore and offshore facilities.
Hands on experience is required.
Knowledgeable of relevant International Codes & Standards such as BS, ASCE, ACI, AISC, UBC, API RP, etc.
Experience in operating companies is preferable.
