Kent is hiring a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to support the Golden Pass LNG Project within our CCSU business unit, working closely alongside our client and with support of the wider Kent group to facilitate, coordinate and provide subject matter expertise for FERC, PHMSA and USCG regulatory compliance. This position reports to the Project Manager.

Kent is hiring a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to support the Golden Pass LNG Project within our CCSU business unit, working closely alongside our client and with support of the wider Kent group to facilitate, coordinate and provide subject matter expertise for FERC, PHMSA and USCG regulatory compliance. This position reports to the Project Manager.
Your responsibilities:
- Serve as subject matter expert for regulatory compliance across FERC, PHMSA and USCG.
- Facilitate and support Client engagements with Federal and State regulatory agencies site inspections and audits.
- Support ongoing execution and improvements of Site Regulatory Compliance Program.
- Carry out compliance assurance and provide SME support for project strategy, procedures, processes and documentation to facilitate efficient Handover to commissioning & start-up.
- Ensures Kent and other stakeholders comply with all applicable regulatory requirements, including Special Permit, QA/QC of engineering, construction, reinstatement documents/information prior to Regulatory submissions.
- Provide support and coordination to GPX Environmental & Regulatory. Assist development of packages in support to DFO and delivery to Company for regulatory submission
- Consult with project management on regulatory compliance issues to provide interpretations to maintain compliance, acting where necessary to mitigate potential for recurrence.
- Support review, and query resolution of Implementation Plans
- Coordinate internal auditing across project stakeholders to identify regulatory compliance risk, providing support to corrective actions or developing mitigation strategies and improvements to work process flows.
- Reviews published state and federal agency audit findings across the US region and provides recommendations to internal procedures and processes.
- Continuously ensures project strategies, procedures and processes comply with regulatory order conditions for successful plant construction, commissioning, start-up, and operations.
- Coordinates with operations and other groups in addressing management of change, regulatory queries and areas of compliance concern during revalidation and reinstatement activities commissioning & start-up activities
- Maintains SME knowledge of regulatory requirements, codes/standards, company procedures and documentation.
- Contributes to facilitation of safety related incident management issues on behalf of regulatory agencies.
- Provides support to Company with regulatory reporting via coordination across internal stakeholders.
- Assists in development and review of all documentation for operations in support of regulatory compliance obligations.
- Perform other compliance duties as required.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience: Qualification/ Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in law, business, management or science, and/or 8+ years of regulatory experience.
- LNG experience highly preferred.
- Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status or be able to obtain it.
- Extensive experience in working closely with (PHMSA, FERC and USCG).
- In-depth knowledge of:
- PHMSA permitting
- FERC order conditions
- FERC, PHMSA and USCG regulations, compliance requirements
- Implementation Plan development and regulatory reporting preferred.
- Ability to oversee multiple tasks at once and manage data/information with minimal direction.
- Experience in procedure development, compliance monitoring, and/or implementing federal rules and regulations is strongly preferred.
Skills Requirement:

- Ability to work well under pressure and respond to changing priorities.
Communication:
- Excellent customer service and relationship building skills; ability to interact professionally and knowledgeably with wide variety of individuals.
- Be capable of communicating (written and verbal) and training on highly technical information in a manner that is comprehensible to stakeholders of various levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills required.
- Ability to professionally represent the company when dealing with external organizations and agencies.
