About Houston

ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

What role you will play in our team

  • Provide Operations Planning expertise to all Lithium investments ranging from full-scale ExxonMobil operated plants to joint ventures with 3rd parties to demonstration units.
  • Provide Operations and relevant Technical and Maintenance input to all Lithium investments throughout the full project life cycle of FEED, Detailed Design, Construction, and Start-up. Actively engage and provide input to Technology qualifications, Process Hazards analysis, Reliability studies, etc.
  • Develop and own the detailed plans to support start-up and continuous operations for the Operations, Maintenance, and Technical organizations. The detailed plans include org design & staffing, condition-based maintenance plans, operating procedures, training plans, finished product qualification, etc.

What you will do

  • Work directly with Project team members and 3rd parties from all disciplines to progress Lithium investment portfolio. This includes Low Carbon Solutions business line, Global Projects, Technology, Supply Chain, 3rd party EPC's, etc.
  • Lead the development of the start-up and continuous operations org design for all Lithium investments.
  • Participate in related studies which could enhance the Lithium investment strategy.
  • Work directly with JV partners to influence project design and maximize operating asset competitiveness.

About You

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or business disciplines
  • 10+ years of experience in Operations, Technical, and Project positions (min. 5 years in Operations positions)
  • Oil & Gas and/or Low Carbon / Energy Transition experience
  • Strong communication, coordination, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to effectively influence others without authority

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

  • Experience in Lithium processing operations from raw material extraction to finished product production
  • Understanding of emerging Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) processes and traditional Lithium production processes.
  • Ability to effectively manage interpersonal relationships across multiple functions and in a diverse work group
