What role you will play in our team

  • This I&E technician role is a part of the Bakken I&E team that manages electrical and instrumentation installation, maintenance
  • Western North Dakota covering the Bakken asset
  • Offices in Williston, Alexander, and Killdeer
  • Challenging environment with focus on safety, increasing efficiency and digital integration of I&E controls to increase reliability.
  • Collaboration cross functionally to identify solutions and enable enhanced analysis.
  • Integration of digital tools to increase reliability and effectiveness and connectivity for the Bakken area.
  • This position includes installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various devices and instruments on well pad facilities with a focus on safety and reliability.
  • This technician will report to an area I&E supervisor and contribute to the digital integration of well facilities controls.

What you will do

  • Utilize loop drawings and specification sheets to install, maintain, and troubleshoot control device
  • Troubleshoot and maintain PLC systems and other control systems and components
  • Troubleshoot and maintain communication equipment and components
  • Be a safety leader and foster utilization of ExxonMobil safety policies' and culture
  • Collaborate with internal experts and vendors to identify ways to enhance our abilities
  • Maintain/ operate Fisher ROC, AllenBradlen micro and control Logix, Emerson wirelss and wired devices.

About you

Skills and Qualifications
  • 3 years of relevant work experience or associates degree
  • Ability to communicate effectively (read, write and speak) and understand operational specifications and procedures
  • Have good organizational skills to effectively document and track technical information and job activities
  • Ability to use Microsoft suite of programs and ability to learn other craft specific programs
  • Willing and able to work both individually and as a small team environments
  • Ability to contribute and potentially lead daily crew activity in a consistent and safe work environment
  • Degrees & certifications required for the job should be listed here, listing 'B.S. or equivalent work experience' in this section is acceptable if an actual degree is not required

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

  • Preference to those with experience with Fisher ROC, Allen-Bradley PLC's, industrial transmitters and equipment
  • Willingness to work in in climate weather, ability to work weekends and on call when required
  • Knowledge of oil and gas production facilities and process preferred.

Pre Employment Testing Guidance

This Operations and Mechanical (O&M) position requires pre-employment testing. After applying you will receive a pop up giving you access to the assessment. You may take the assessment at that time or utilize the instructions below to access the assessment at a time convenient for you. Note that the assessment must be completed by the deadline in order for you to be considered for the O&M position for which you have applied.

IMPORTANT

The O&M test has been revised. Effective December 1, 2021 ALL candidates must complete the revised assessment. Even if you have tested within the last 365 days (passed or failed), if you tested before December 1, 2021, you must complete the revised assessment to be considered for this O&M opportunity. Failure to complete the assessment by the deadline will result in your disqualification from consideration for this position. The assessment is the same for all O&M requisitions. If you have completed the assessment after December 1, 2021, your assessment results will be mapped to this requisition when you try to access the test. Test passed candidates will be screened by the hiring team and a subset invited for interview. Note that a satisfactory result on the assessment does not guarantee an interview.
