Activities

OneTech is looking for an Metocean Technologist Engineer to supervise studies and services worth several million dollars for various projects with Capex that can reach several billion dollars. The position may be based at Coupole (Paris) or CSTJF (Pau). Within a team of 200 employees spread over 9 strategic departments covering 18 technical fields, you will join 3 Metocean specialists in charge of characterizing offshore and onshore sites, in order to guarantee the reliability and integrity of the facilities envisaged for the production of hydrocarbons and renewable energies.

As a Metocean Technologist Engineer:

• You will intervene at all stages of project development (from feasibility to realization) Oil and Gas but also Renewable Energies as well as for occasional operational assistance to subsidiaries (drilling operations, installation, unloading, repair of works, etc.).
• You will work in an international framework, "onshore" and "offshore", with the various entities of OneTech, the subsidiaries, the engineering / design offices, service providers and the companies in charge of data acquisition.
• You will have the opportunity to define the parameters to be taken into account (i.e. extreme values, distributions, spectra, current profile...) to size the structures and optimize operations on site. For this purpose, you will use various databases (public or managed by the specialty), in situ and from models (hindcast).
• You will be in charge of acquisition campaigns, from the definition of the need, to the drafting of the specifications for calls for tenders, to the technical selection of companies, to the technical and contractual supervision of operations on site, up to the validation of processing and interpretation of data.
• You may be called upon to assess the impact of climate change using dedicated databases or studies.
• You will also be a contributor to technological innovation as well as to the updating of technical reference documents in your discipline.
