The Power Market s Outlook team is looking for a Long-Term Electricity Demand Specialist F/M , who is responsible for providing critical information, such as electricity demand drivers and forecasts, contributing to build fundamental electricity market prices, in order to optimize investment decisions .
As a Long-Term Electricity Demand Specialist, you will have the following tasks:
Electricity demand analysis : Analyzing electricity demand at macro and micro-economic level in the different geographical areas and developing analyses on the evolution of electricity demand, based on various external sources and on the knowledge of TotalEnergies ' strateg y teams and business units .
Energy and electricity demand outlook : Organizing internal working groups and external benchmarks on long-term electricity demand forecasts in the various geographical areas and ensuring the consistency of the electricity demand scenarios developed with the final energy consumption assumptions (in Europe and the United States among other countries ).
Electricity demand modelling : Developing long-term electricity demand forecasting models using state-of-the-art methodologies such as decomposition techniques by electricity use to build hourly electricity demand forecasts in different geographical areas (Europe and the United States) in close collaboration with the modelling team and operational units in particular .
Forecast consistency : Feeding analyses and electricity market price models with assumptions on electricity demand in different geographical areas and ensuring consistency between assumptions and modelling of demand and supply: for example, for hydrogen demand and supply, ...

In line with its goal of carbon neutrality by 2050, TotalEnergies is significantly strengthening its global position across the entire electricity value chain to become a major player as an integrated power producer in a growing and positively oriented market . Following this strategy , the newly created Integrated Power (IP) division has set the following international objectives:
Apply
<
- M a ster degree with a major in economics or a related field .
- At least 5 years' experience in long-term electricity demand analysis and/or modelling or a similar analytical role in the energy/electricity sector .
- In-depth knowledge, in at least one country in the world, of current electricity demand and its evolution .
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, forecasting techniques and data modelling. Experience of statistical software (such as Python, R or MATLAB) and electricity market modelling software (such as BID3, Plexos or PSO) is an advantage .
- Fluent in English and French.

- - Supply B2B and B2C customers and support their decarbonization strategies .
