In this role, you'll lead project(s) aimed at developing innovative technologies and supporting laboratory needs across various departments, including operations, sales, and supply chain. Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of tasks, blending laboratory experimentation with office-based duties.

Responsibilities:
- Perform product evaluation testing. Experiments may include but are not limited to, high pressure / high temperature (HPHT) core flow experiments, HPHT rheology, HPHT batch reactor experiments, rotating disk experiments, permeability measurements, HPHT fluid loss experiments, ambient and/or elevated temperature proppant settling, sand conglomeration/consolidation, friction pressure measurements, proppant conductivity, and slot flow experiments.
- Support third-party testing and yard tests for the technologies being developed.
- Communication: prepare technical reports and presentations for new product development team in addition to other internal stakeholders.
- Responsible for maintenance, calibration, and training of common and special laboratory equipment.
- Coordinate, actively participate and work independently in short- and long-term projects with technical & operation groups within the Reservoir Performance - Stimulation (RPS) organization.
- Recommend and write procedures or other changes to improve operation of the laboratory.
- Recommend purchasing of laboratory testing equipment.
- Be familiar with RPS chemical products and services.
- Conduct laboratory tours and demonstrations.
- Prepare chemical samples for shipment to other laboratories (domestic and international) and coordinate the transportation processes.
- Quality, Health, Safety and Environment:
- Ensure that company QHSE policies, procedures and safety standards are always understood and complied with.
- Make sure that chemicals and waste are handled according to regulations, chemical hygiene plan, and SDS.
- Carry out necessary risk assessments prior to laboratory operations.
- Report, investigate and follow up all relevant QHSE matters in accordance with internal nonconformance and hazard observation reporting procedures.
- Maintain an active role in the identification of opportunities for improvement in the company's QHSE management systems and where relevant, assist in the implementation of the improvements.
Minimum qualification & experience:
- University degree (BS, MS, PhD, or equivalent) in chemistry, chemical engineering, petroleum engineering, biology, biological engineering, materials science, or related fields.
- 5 to 10 years in chemical research and development experience (BS or MS candidates)
- Nice to have: prior experience with sand management products, stimulation fluids, core flow testing, fluid loss testing, HPHT testing are a plus.
