The Instrumentation & Electrical Technician is primarily responsible for any maintenance associated with the gas gatherings and compression. The position will execute maintenance, installation, and preventative maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment. The position will maintain qualifications and record documentation in accordance with all applicable DOT and OSHA regulations to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities May Include:
  • Perform routine maintenance, installation, and integration of various types of process control instrumentation equipment such as transmitters, controllers, integrators, recorders, square root extractors, and final drive elements
  • Make repairs to electrical power, motor, and motor control circuits. Develops, prepares, and presents recommendations and reports as requested
  • Field fault analysis - determines if an instrument has failed or if it is a process problem
  • Field calibration of instrumentation utilizing proper test equipment
  • Repair of signal transmission facility such as tubing, wiring, etc.
  • Instrumentation to include pneumatic, electronic, and digital equipment
  • Fault analysis of hard wire relay logic, motor control circuits, motor power circuits (120V to 480V, 3phase), and common utility/lighting circuits
  • Installation of new control circuits, modification of existing instrument/electrical systems as requested, to include design, load, and implementation of new control logic
  • Fault analysis of PLC-based systems with control logic modification, if required

Required Qualifications:
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license
  • Working knowledge of instrumentation or electrical maintenance
  • Willing and able to follow all plant safety rules
  • Willing and able to perform / comply with following, with or without reasonable accommodation:
    • To bend, kneel, knee stand and squat up to 30 minutes at a time
    • To sit and stand for prolonged periods of time according to job demands
    • To regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift 50 pounds
    • To respond to emergency calls as needed
    • To remain on call as needed
    • To work overtime on an as-needed basis

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Electrical Maintenance, Instrumentation, or Industrial Electronics
  • 5 or more years of instrumentation or electrical work experience
  • Proficient with MSDS
  • Proficient in schematic drawings (of pneumatic loops, hardware relay logic diagrams, PLC control programs, motor control circuit diagrams, etc.)
  • Proficient in associating circuit symbols with actual components to include solid-state electronics (transistors, integrated chips, resistors, capacitors, etc.) and common industrial electrical hardware (relays, contractors, starters, etc.)

We operate 39 terminals that supply finished products to consumer gas stations, as well as crude oil and NGL storage terminals and NGL fractionation facilities.
