RESPONSIBILITIES

Wood is currently looking for a Senior Cost Estimator to be based in Dubai Location.

• Delivering high quality cost estimates (all types), utilizing cost estimating methodologies and tools to produce cost estimates inclusive of engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up scope and cost.
• Incorporate project complexity factors and assemble key input data such as project objectives, scope and execution plan.
• Maintain Estimate Basis for all project cost (including non-technical) to document how estimate was developed, and all assumptions used.
• Assist with the identification and assessment of key project risks and linking these risks to the impact on the cost estimate (both deterministic and probabilistic).
• Perform scenario comparisons and uncertainty analysis and sensitivities on cost estimates, reflecting analysis of project risks.
• Develop P10, P50, P90 estimates.
• Manage reviews and assurance of cost estimates. Benchmark against historical performance, industry norms and established KPIs.
• Help the project team to fully understand the risk/cost/schedule trade-offs so that they can make better informed business and commercial decisions.
• To prepare Life Cycle Costs estimates in close co-ordination with the operation & maintenance department.
• Monetary Measures: portfolio of multiple concurrent brownfield and greenfield projects $US 1m to ~$1b (> $US 1b p/a.) all at different phases of project lifecycle

QUALIFICATIONS

• Engineering Degree and/or Certification as a Cost Estimator or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 12 - 15 years industry experience in capital projects estimating positions.
• Experience with onshore brownfield and greenfield work scope and estimating and able to deliver both using traditional bottoms up detailed estimate methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills
• Fully versed with Cost Estimating/Risk Tools.
