RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assess existing processes for areas of improvement utilizing Lean Manufacturing concepts
- Perform root cause analysis to identify underlying issues that are resulting in process inefficiencies and/or products quality issues.
- Utilize improvement methodologies, i.e., Six Sigma
- Develop, communicate, and mange projects to improve process or reduce product deficiencies
- Monitor process improvements for effectivity and evaluate opportunities for additional improvements.
- Develop and present training programs to educate personnel on process improvements
- Track and communicate process improvement initiatives and the output of these initiatives
- Solve practical problems
- Develop and assist with conducting process audits
- Travel to facilities to identify technical issues with design, process, or equipment
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer
- Lean Six Sigma knowledge: Possesses hands-on knowledge in data analytics, Pareto analysis, fishbone diagrams, 5 why analysis, impact vs. effort, other root cause analysis methods, systemic thinking, A3, 5S and pull systems.
- Project management skills: ability to track and drive towards project milestones and completion.
- Communication skills to effectively lead multi-disciplinary projects
- Familiar with industrial processes, preferably manufacturing equipment
- Adequate verbal, written and analytical skills with a professional and helpful demeanor.
- Computer literacy using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
