JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs diverse engineering activities involving the design and redesign of testing equipment.
  • Perform creation of engineering design documents such as bill of materials (BoM's) and drawings
  • Ensures all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with established policies, standards, and objectives; establishes and/or updates engineering standards and specifications as needed.
  • Work with senior engineers to ensure projects meet design specifications and are completed on time and within budget.
  • Provide technical support for testing and facility operations.
  • Perform other duties as required by management.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies.
  • Above average computer skills, including, but not limited to, MS Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Qualifications:

  • Must be currently pursuing a B.S. in Engineering at an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 48 hours of coursework with at least 6 hours of credits in applicable discipline preferred.
  • Working knowledge of 2D drafting software like AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player and work with multiple engineering disciplines both within the company and externally.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Enjoys hands-on approach to engineering and working outdoors.
  • Self-driven individual with the desire to win as a team.
  • Willing to learn and welcome new challenges.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Enrolled in a B.S. Engineering program at an accredited university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Engineering Candidate preferred; machine operation or programming experience highly beneficial.
BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES

  • Team-oriented professional, with strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to deftly interact at all levels of the organization.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Solid CAD/CAM experience; software evaluation/implementation and project management skills are a definite plus.
