NOV Aftermarket is currently recruiting for a Grinder/Deburr Technician to join our team at our location at 5100 N Sam Houston Pkwy W in Houston, the main responsibilities of this role include:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read and comprehend blueprint on work piece.
• Make setups and adjustments to assure proper alignment of parts.
• Lift, position, and secure work piece as needed to turn or balance.
• Make manual adjustments by grinding or drilling.
• Check and inspect work for conformity to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Utilize safe work habits.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.

FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Grind/deburr (tapping, polishing, grinding, stamping, washing etc.)
• Verify dimensions using Engineering Blueprints while performing grinding/deburr operations.
• Product specific knowledge for each department preferable (BOP's, Top Drives, Motion Compensation, Rig Floor Equipment, etc.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of relevant work experience.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
• Willing to work overtime and changing work schedules based on workload.
• Must be able to interpret engineered blueprints.
• Operate forklifts & overhead cranes.
• 6S (Organization/Standardization) experience or knowledge desirable.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience desirable.
• Ability to multitask in fast paced environment.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and departments.
• Factory environment with a large range in temperature changes.
• Standing, Walking, Bending/Stooping, Push/Pull, and Repetitive Movement up to 12 hours daiily.
• Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. Regularly
