About the position:
NOV is seeking a self-motivated and experienced Jira System Analyst to join our team on a full-time basis. We are a team of development experts that work closely together to build advanced solutions and solve problems.
Responsibilities will include project administration of Jira Server and Jira Data Center projects, planning and managing Insight asset configuration and maintenance of asset records, and configuring automation using Jira workflow post-functions, project and global automation, Insight automation, and creating and maintaining Rich Filters dashboards.

Responsibilities:
- Gather, document, and analyze current business requirements or issues, to determine the appropriate Jira project configuration, automation, or issue resolution
- Troubleshoot Jira project and Insight issues using project logs, plugin logs, audit history, system logs, and other diagnostic tools
- Assists with Jira software project and service desk project planning and configuration.
- Assist with configuring workflows, workflow conditions, triggers and webhooks, post-functions, workflow pre-conditions, screens, all schemes, issue types, request types, custom fields, field configurations, permissions, access roles, service desk automation, queues, SLAs, filters, and dashboards, sprints, and all other aspects of Jira projects.
- Configuring filters, dashboards, Kanban/Scrum boards
- Training users on the use and best practices for Jira, Insight, and Jira plug-ins.
- Assist with creating new and maintaining existing Insight imports, object schemas, object types, and Insight automation.
- 3+ years of experience with administrating Jira projects
- Strong knowledge and ability to write custom Jira Query Language (JQL).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn new technology.
- Experience with Atlassian Insight, Discovery, and Insight Query Language (IQL)
- Experience with Advanced Roadmaps for Jira (formerly Portfolio)
- Experience with Groovy scripting preferably with Adaptavist ScriptRunner plugin
