Our NOV Manufacturing facility in Cedar Park, Texas is recruiting a Tool Crib Attendant to safely and efficiently perform a variety of duties pertaining to receiving, identifying, distributing, and picking tools, fixtures, and supplies in the most efficient manner. This position will work closely with the machine shop and procurement. The successful candidate will be professional and respectful while ensuring machinists have the tools and information available when needed. Day shift work.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
  • Process requests for tooling, supplies and fixtures from machine shop personnel and other departments.
  • Inspect returned tooling to determine condition and disposition: repair, rework, clean and/or return.
  • Print, review and put work order job packets together.
  • Receive and transact tooling and equipment returns into the VLM, storage area, or designated stocking locations (e.g., repair, re-use stocking locations).
  • Receive tooling and supply deliveries within CribMaster inventory management system.
  • Perform cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain a high degree of organization and cleanliness through deployment of 5S principles.
  • Update Kit Lists as needed with approval of Shop Lead.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as required as assigned.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies.
Required Qualifications Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems.
Required Behavioral Competencies:

  • Excellent organization and administrative skills, with an elevated level of diligence.
  • Strong customer relationship and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with a diverse range of personality types across multiple departments.
Preferred Technical Competencies:

  • Computer skills, especially MS Office applications.
  • Familiarity with machine shop tooling and gauging equipment, preferred.
  • Experience in tool crib and/or tool maintenance support role.
  • Cribmaster or similar tool management software.
  • ERP systems like JDEdwards.
  • Proficiency with deployment and support of 5S principles and concepts.
Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit, stand and bend.
  • Must be able to lift over 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to lift over shoulders and reach.
