PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interface with relevant departments to obtain a thorough understanding of NOV products and how they are safely operated, tested, calibrated and problems are resolved in a timely manner.
- Travel to customer sites to inspect, install, commission, test, calibrate, repair and train customers on the safe and proper operation of NOV products.
- Perform field upgrades of software and hardware and train customers on how to properly operate the system.
- Communicate field failures and feedback reports to the appropriate departments.
- Complete and submit field service documentation in a timely manner.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
- Perform inspection of equipment/parts.
- Provide training to other NOV Field Service Technicians.
- Provide accurate and timely reports to appropriate personnel regarding work progress and output.
- Work at other NOV locations when required.
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain files of inspection documents.
- Maintain inspection and measuring equipment; perform or arrange for calibration of equipment; and maintain equipment calibration records.
- Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Microsoft Office knowledge is required.
- Minimum 2 years' NDE experience required in Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, Ultrasonic Shear Wave, and Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Must possess a valid passport or the ability to obtain one.
- Must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
- Must provide transportation from home to the office. Transportation to customer's location will be provided.
- 24/7 on-call.
- Offshore travel required (domestic and international).
- Work in harsh environments including rain, snow, heat, and heights in excess of 150 feet.
- Must be able to pass offshore safety classes including, but not limited to offshore water survival (HUET), firefighting, and basic offshore safety induction emergency training (BOSIET).
- Must be able to obtain a transportation workers identification credential (TWIC) card.
- Must be able to pass an OGUK physical.
- Must be able to pass and hold a Level II certification in Magnetic Particle Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing, Ultrasonic Shearwave Testing, and Ultrasonic Phased Array Testing.
- Must be able to pass the Jaeger II and Ishihara Test for vision.
