What Do We Do Here?

Our Conroe Facility produces downhole products for drilling activities in North America. Our plant has high demand and is operating 24/7 to produce these products for our customers. To meet the demand for our products, we provide employees with an air-conditioned environment, highly organized and clean 300,000 SQ. ft. fabrication facility, new CNC Machines (Mazak, Mori Sieke, DMG Mori, Weiler, etc.), and a strong safety program designed to ensure our team goes home safe to their families after every shift.

What's the Job Like?

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Manage and coordinate the activities of staff including training, employee development, performance evaluation, hiring decisions, and the establishment of goals and performance objectives for assigned department.
  • Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, or disciplinary measures.
  • Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, or maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use.
  • Confer with personnel, such as management, engineering, quality control, or customers to coordinate work activities, resolve employee grievances, or identify and review resource needs.
  • Provide continual evaluation of department processes, methods, and activities to assure the most effective use of resources and equipment.
  • Responsible for all repairs and maintenance on facility machinery and equipment.
  • Develop, implement, or evaluate maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Manage budget and expenditures. Participate in budget preparation and administration, coordinating purchasing and documentation and monitoring departmental expenditures.
  • Monitor tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions.
  • Compile operational or personnel records, such as time and production records, inventory data, repair or maintenance statistics, or test results.
  • Review, evaluate, accept, and coordinate completion of work bid from contractors. Meet with vendors or suppliers to discuss products used in repair work.
  • Oversee emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Determine, monitor and measure department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Compute estimates and actual costs of factors such as materials, labor, or outside contractors.
  • Oversee mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Design equipment configurations to meet personnel needs. Interpret specifications, blueprints, or job orders to construct templates and lay out reference points for workers.
  • Examine objects, systems, or facilities and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs.
  • Provide oversight and guidance for the performance of skilled repair or maintenance operations, using equipment such as hand or power tools, hydraulic presses or shears, or welding equipment.
  • Responsible for all repairs and maintenance on facility machinery and equipment.
  • Inspect, test, and measure completed work, using devices such as hand tools or gauges to verify conformance to standards or repair requirements.
  • Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide employee safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules.
  • Maintain NOV guidelines on safety, quality, and delivery.
  • Clean work areas as necessary to maintain cleanliness, health, and safety standards.
  • All other reasonable tasks assigned with the goal of helping the team, operations, or the facility overall.
EDUCTATIONAL & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Engineering Degree or equivalent experience desired.
  • 5+ yrs. knowledge of standard safety and manufacturing processes preferred.
  • 5+ yrs. of practical and demonstrable experience with management and maintenance.
