PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- 5 years of Step 7 Siemens Simatic Manager software experience
- 5 years of Instrumentation experience
- 5 years of Mechanical and Hydraulics experience
- 3 years of Electrical troubleshooting experience
- Travel to customer sites to inspect, install, commission, test, calibrate, repair and train customers on the safe and proper operation of NOV products
- Perform field upgrades of software and hardware and train customers on how to properly operate the system
- Complete and submit field service documentation in a timely manner
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures
- Prepare for service jobs including downloading drawings, software, and all procedures required
- Install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair NOV Cranes Control Systems - Siemens base
- Install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Step 7
- Offshore cranes hydraulic/pneumatic systems
- Electrical systems
- Obtain a thorough understanding of NOV products and how they are safely operated, tested, calibrated, and how problems are resolved in a timely manner
- 5 years of Step 7 Siemens Simatic Manager software experience
- 5 years of Instrumentation experience
- 5 years of Mechanical and Hydraulics experience
- 3 years of Electrical troubleshooting experience
- Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Microsoft Office knowledge is required
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics required
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical/electronic/control circuits required
- Ability to utilize various electrical diagnostic tools including multimeters, oscilloscope, and basic hand tools required
- 24/7 on-call
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Must provide transportation from home to the office. Transportation to customer's location will be provided
- Onshore and offshore (domestic and international) travel for unknown durations with short notice
- Work in harsh environments including rain, snow, heat, and heights in excess of 150 feet
