PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role you will design and develop moderately complex equipment, systems, and products. Essential functions include:

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role you will design and develop moderately complex equipment, systems, and products. Essential functions include:
- Working with reciprocating and multi-stage centrifugal pumps.
- Creating/Changing the design of parts within several pump lines working closely with manufacturing, sales, vendors, distributors, and end users.
- Designing parts and creating drawings using CAD software.
- Writing technical documents.
- Troubleshooting pump issues with assigned pump lines should issues arise.
- Working closely with engineers and designers, as a team, on other pump issues or new product development.
- Developing new product as it pertains to any products within the pump group or otherwise.
- Calculations as they pertain to reciprocating pumps whether by hand or through FEA using CAD software.
- Assisting in any problems that may arise in the pump group.
Qualified candidates for this role will possess a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) from a four-year college or university, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Other requirements include:
- 3-5 years experience with reciprocating pumps and multi-stage centrifugal pumps/centrifugal pumps, preferred.
- Experience with SolidWorks creating parts, part drawings, assemblies and doing Finite Element Analysis is preferred. Other CAD software experience such as AutoCad, Inventor, Pro-E, etc. is also desirable.
- Experience using Word, Excel, Power Point and other office suite Microsoft software.
- Hands on experience with mechanical systems, preferably pumping systems.
- Experience with materials and how to apply them properly for safe use and operating conditions.
- Conceptualize mechanical design solutions with the ability to think outside the box.
- Self-Motivated to drive new innovation or product improvements.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes such as environment, software, design criteria, and various engineering systems utilized by the group.
- Ability to work with deadlines.
- Willingness to travel occasionally
