Position Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Linux Cybersecurity Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security technologies and extensive hands-on experience with security products on the Linux operating system. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security solutions to safeguard our clients' systems and data against cyber threats.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security measures to protect Linux-based systems and infrastructure.
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential weaknesses and risks.
• Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and analyze security logs and alerts to detect and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
• Perform security assessments of third-party applications and services to ensure compliance with security requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into the development lifecycle of software and systems.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior members of the team.
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies to continuously improve our security posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in cybersecurity roles, with a focus on Linux security.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with security tools such as intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, antivirus, SIEM, and vulnerability scanners.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux operating system internals and security mechanisms.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, encryption, authentication, and access control.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or Perl.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
