Position Summary

This role reports to the Regional HR Manager - APAC and will provide timely, accurate and sound HR advice to client groups across a broad spectrum of business units across all facets of the human resources function in Malaysia and other Southeast Asian countries.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key HSE and Quality responsibilities

• Supporting the implementation of the Oceaneering HSE & Quality Core Processes and HSE & Quality objectives and Action Improvement plans;

• Providing support for the Oceaneering Crisis Management Team, where required;

• Involvement in the review and approval process for corporate and site management system documentation;

• Support & participate in HSE & Quality Audits;

• Responsibility for his/her own health and safety and that of other persons affected by his/her activities;

• For managers and supervisors, actively leading HSE & Quality initiatives and demonstrating HSE & Quality leadership; and

Responsibilities and key performance indicators

Role responsibilities may include:

• Provide support to managers and employees in relation to all human resource management activities;

• Implement recruitment processes and strategies in consultation with line managers and other HR team members;

• Provide advice and guidance to line managers on matters relating to performance management;

• Interpret and provide advice to line managers, employees and payroll on legislative requirements;

• Key point of contact for all line managers, employees and 3rd part service providers in relation to immigration-related matters;

• Prepare and issue employment contracts in consultation with line managers and other HR team members;

• Support the Human Resources Manager on projects and initiatives as required;

• Review and update policies/procedures as required;

Qualifications

Qualifications

Mandatory

• Degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.

Desirable

• Post-graduate Qualifications in a related HR specialist field.

Strategic decision making - Obtaining information and identifying key issues and relationships relevant to long-range goal or vision; committing to a course of action to accomplish a long- range goal or vision after developing alternatives based on logical assumptions, facts, available resources, constraints, and organizational values.

Stakeholder engagement - fosters business relationships by listening, collaborating and informing, to build trust, confidence, and endorsement of key HR initiatives.

Experience and Knowledge

• Demonstrated experience in implementing Employee Engagement initiatives

• Fundamental working knowledge of Performance Management

• Has a high accountability, business and goal-oriented mindset

• Strong facilitation and coaching skills

• Generates inspiration and has a positive can-do attitude, solution orientation, and customer service mindset

• Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, and policies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines with urgency

• Excellent verbal and written communication

• International experience in a similar role

• Industry experience is highly desirable
