Position Summary
Purpose
To provide document control and data support services to engineering division on time with high quality by ensuring that the processes are followed. Work without supervision and supervise entry level Engineers.
Duties & Responsibilities
Functions
ESSENTIAL
• Create document objects and attach appropriate files.
• Engage in document migration projects as required.
• Execute complex projects from start to delivery
• Create MDL (Master Documents list) for Business Unit as per project requirement
• Revise files and document objects, set up ECOs for sites to review and approve for new documents.
• Run weekly reports to track aging ECOs, ECRs, and ROUTES etc. and develop metrics.
• Run daily Release Report & Development part OII Report and check all attributes are filled- in correctly.
• Edit and upload Certificates / documents on data management software like PDM / PLM / PSFT and fill required attributes of certificates
• Create / release engineering parts on server and transferring data of parts from one software to another
• Generate the various document control reports as required.
• Convert and upload legacy documents into PLM/PDM. Identify documents (Such as Images, FAT, test reports, shop drawings, data sheet. etc.), segregate them and upload them under respective locations.
• Provide the quality of deliverables and maintain quality records (KPI's).
• Ensure the entry in Lesson Learned log after completion of each project.
• Prepares process and status reports; applies metrics to analyze and assess efficiencies of current Document Control processes
• Assist Engineers in completing MDLs by creating all placeholders for both drawings and documents for new projects.
NON-ESSENTIAL
• Promote team spirit, open & transparent work culture.
• Work towards establishing Operational Excellence at ODC. Support Quality Management System implementation at ODC and drive Continuous Improvement process.
• Participate in regular teleconference meetings with counterparts in US and other locations
• Do additional Document / Data Support /technical jobs as assigned

Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.
Other
Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.

Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

Qualifications
REQUIRED
Required Bachelors in Science / Commerce / PGDCA/ BCA or other relevant educational field.
Should possess knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, especially of Excel and word.
DESIRED
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Exposure with PLM / PDM or Other Document management tools is highly desirable.
