Candidate Profile

Strong candidate will have experience:
  • In Business Development in the Renewables in Belux.
  • On the different Belux regional markets.
  • Building long-term relationships and structuring pricing proposals.
  • In modeling offers.
  • Coordination between internally and externally teams.
  • Negotiating high-value contracts till the end.
  • Be flexible and proactive to deal with complex situations and achieve the sales targets.

While it would be helpful for a candidate to have experience in Solar, we recognize that the solar B2B market is nascent and therefore we are considering candidates with experience in adjacent sectors.
  • Master's degree in engineering, sciences or business.
  • 3 to 5 years of sales experience positioning sophisticated solutions and cost-benefit analyses.
  • 3 to 5 years of team management experience would be useful but not critical.
  • Excellent communication skills and good technical knowledge, coupled with a dynamic approach to sales. Success-oriented.
  • Strong office skills specially in excel modeling.
  • Languages: French is mandatory, English advanced knowledge is required. Dutch is appreciated.

Activities

  • Identification of Commercial & Industrial prospects likely to enter in a Solar Lease Agreement or equivalent
  • Realization of commercial proposals destined to create value for our clients
  • Responsible for building and maintaining tools to industrialize our offer & process
  • Following up and coordinating the project development with our partners
  • Relationship management from first contact to Solar Lease or PPA signature
  • Responsible for contractual negotiation also helped with the management
  • Follow-up and monitoring of all business evolutions potentially impacting the development of generating and selling solar lease contracts or equivalent in the perimeter
  • Focusing on growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new business
  • Responsible for the development and achievement of sales through the direct & indirect sales channel
  • Analyzing the market to identify potential key customers
  • Expanding the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
  • Managing key accounts

Context & Environment

TotalEnergies Solar's ambition is to develop in the next 5 years an international leadership and profitable presence in the solar I&C market, aiming at 5 to 10% market share in the Belux and other key selected markets.

Objectifs of the Business Developer South:

- Meeting Totalenergies Solar's objectives developing B2B projects in Belux,

- He will act according to TotlaEnergies policies and compliance values

- Meeting the client's expectation to get solar plant on their sites with good quality and TotalEnergies Solar to get good return on strong investments.

The Solar Distributed Generation Belgium & Luxembourg team sells to its B2B customers renewable electricity produced on their sites via long-term PPA (*) or OLA (**) contracts. To this end, our team develops, finances, builds and operates solar panels installed on roofs, canopies or vacant industrial land.

These solar solutions offer companies the guarantee of a predictable price and the possibility to significantly reduce their electricity bill while limiting their carbon footprint. Batteries, installed behind the customer's electric meter, on its site, can also be offered. They increase local consumption of solar electricity and provide stabilization services to grid operators.
