Description:

The Consultant, Procurement Analytics position is a part of the Procurement Insights & Analytics team and is responsible for the development, implementation, and sustainability of Procurement Tools & Reporting Dashboards. The Procurement Insights & Analytics team operates in service to achieving Procurement strategic objectives including execution excellence, value creation and continuous improvement. Being selected for this position would mean joining a team passionate about manipulating data, performing data driven cost/value analysis utilizing Procurement data, and embracing a data driven strategy. This candidate is a self-starter that is well-versed in analytical and database tools, has experience in data analysis, data curation, and can work both in team environment and at individual contributor capacity level while engaging with cross-functional stakeholders regularly.

This role involves understanding of Procurement Procure to Pay (P2P) processes, analyzing different kinds of datasets, and establishing very effective analytics & reporting capabilities serving Procurement business requirements. Additionally, this role involves developing, implementing, and enhancing existing tools, reporting dashboards, and strategies to drive continuous improvements in the analytics capabilities.

Responsibilities May Include:
  • Define methodology, build, and maintain Procurement cost models (Should Cost, as-is, look backs, TCO) to support Procurement data strategy, negotiations, and operationalization.
  • Understanding existing ERP and non-ERP datasets and representing them coherently.
  • Understanding data and information to drive changes and optimization efforts.
  • Developing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Procurement Spend Platform to offer accurate, sustainable, and usable procurement analytics.
  • Developing and continuously improving tools/systems, strategies, and methodology to increase the automation, accuracy, and establishment of a single data repository (warehouse).
  • Closely interacting with the relevant data partners to ensure availability of high-quality data to serve the purpose of the effective analytics & reporting.
  • Developing and maintaining relevant metrics, reports, and dashboards to track and communicate key Procurement performance indicators.
  • Partnering with Data Engineering, Data Science, and other IT Teams to drive adoption and use of analytics to drive meaningful insights.
  • Thinking strategically, and delivering tactically - consistently provide useful, relevant, credible information to the Procurement organization.
  • Delivering committed work items by following Agile methodology (Scrum framework).
  • Developing prescriptive & predictive analytics capabilities for high value procurement categories.
  • Influencing others with or without direct line supervision through leading by example approach.

Qualifications
Basic/Required
:
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, computer engineering, data engineering, or a related field.
  • 7 or more years of experience in data reporting and analytics field.
  • Demonstrated experience with database tools (MS SQL server, Snowflake, etc..), visualization platforms (Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI), SAP S/4 HANA data components, data curation & data engineering concepts.
  • Experience in creating, deriving, and interpreting analytical insights.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint, Power Automate
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Problem solver and 'future looking" mindset.

• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:
  • Experience working in the Oil & Gas Procurement group focused on data insights & analytics.
  • In-depth understanding of Supply Chain Procurement processes.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel, if needed (~10%).
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills for interacting with the functional leadership.
