Delaware Basin Overview
Spanning West Texas through Southeast New Mexico, ConocoPhillips holds approximately 709,000 total net acres in the Delaware Basin, which includes approximately 699,000 unconventional net acres. ConocoPhillips began exploring and appraising the basin's stacked pay potential in 2012 and has gained extensive technical expertise to optimize development. Entering 2023, the company now operates over 2,800 wells throughout the Basin.

In 2022, the company operated an average of 10 drilling rigs, including one electric rig, and 153 new operated wells were brought online. Net production in 2022 averaged 321 MBOED.

Description
The Permian Business Unit is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to take an active role in the development of the drill schedule as Drill Schedule Coordinator. As a critical member of the team, you will collaborate with individuals across the Permian Business Unit to support all aspects of well readiness and well scheduling that will provide valuable insight across the organization.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Maintain and manage well delivery process in Generwell to ensure all required tasks are completed prior to spud
  • Coordinate with Wells, Regulatory, Land, Engineering, Geology, and surveying personnel to ensure wells are staked, scheduled, permitted, and locations prepared for active drilling program
  • Coordinate with land personnel to ensure drilling schedule maintains all lease development obligations
  • Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with team members to review progress, changes, and other issues with drilling program
  • In collaboration with Finance, steward AFE process in Generwell, including but not limited to, AFE creation and providing reports to asset teams on AFE status updates
  • Interface with Planning team during major outlooks and LRP to ensure consistency in Planning activities and implementation of development program
  • Coordinate with IT and Planning on data and process integration
  • Update, create and manage database materials; research database errors and provide solutions
  • Build and format Excel spreadsheets, manipulating data between Excel and Access and other platforms
  • Maintain and improve tracking tools for internal metrics, monthly reporting, and assistance with interim, full cycle, and long-range plans as needed

Basic/Required:
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft O365 applications: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Word

Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Math, Science, Information Technology, other related business field, other related technical field, or foreign equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in upstream oil and gas
  • Self-starter, motivated, and capable of independent problem solving with minimal supervision while involving multiple groups or disciplines
  • Good communication skills and team player
  • Well-rounded knowledge of oilfield terminology and operations required
  • Must have excellent communication and teamwork skills and be able to coordinate multiple projects
  • Demonstrated experience in managing change and leading others
  • Detail oriented and accuracy driven a must
  • Write scripts and views as needed to create and maintain Spotfire reporting tools
  • Proficient in DSO, Generwell, and/or other execution scheduling applications
  • Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by holding others accountable and standing up for what is right
  • Delivers positive results through realistic planning to accomplish goals
  • Builds effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical
