Description of the tasks entrusted to the V.I.E :

The V.I.E will be responsible for :

As an assistant to the Works Contracts Engineer you will be seconded to the North Field East (NFE) project, the world's largest LNG project in Ras Laffan, Qatar, integrated into the Chiyoda-Technip Energies joint venture (CTJV) team for the duration of your VIE and will be responsible for the following activities:

Understand the commercial operation of Technip Energies' Works Contracts, and more specifically the NFE project contracts.
Assist the local manager in the following tasks:
  • Monitoring and responding to requests for additional work
  • Management of Cost and/or Extension of Time claims from/to subcontractors
  • Monthly monitoring of invoicing and payments to subcontractors
  • Weekly meetings with subcontractors
  • Preparation of monthly progress reports on work contracts
  • Preparation of contractual amendments
  • Follow-up of correspondence relating to works contracts
  • Coordination with other project disciplines (Engineering, Purchasing, Construction, etc.)
  • To ensure/anticipate that the subcontractor is able to perform without disruption, and thus protect the company's interests in the face of potential subcontractor claims.
  • Involvement in site life: regular site visits; participation in HSE visits.

  • With a general engineering background, you're keen to discover the on-site implementation of a mega onshore project, in the scope of LNG-related activities.
  • Rigorous and a good team player, you are able to take the initiative and respond seriously and dynamically to the demands of the job. You enjoy contractual and financial aspects and commercial negotiations.
  • You have good interpersonal skills and are able to manage problems thoughtfully and effectively. You thrive on contact with different cultures and environments. You are self-motivated, hard-working and ready to get involved in a challenging project.
  • Excellent written and spoken English required.
