Position Summary

Purpose

Performs activities related to the assembly and testing of equipment, ensuring efficiency in the process of the assembly line activities, in according with Oceaneering procedures and practices.

Duties & Responsibilities

Planning and Preparation of Activities

  • Identifies production processes, including test equipment and test methods to improve production processes, improve quality and reduce delivery times.
  • Supports the production and other areas in the identifications and resolution of non- compliances present in the Assembly Line.
  • It analyzes all the necessary background documentation on the production requirements and creation of the necessary work packages.
  • Checks the process improvements and standardized work practices.
  • Checks that work packages are error free.
  • Accompanies the documentation review so that all documentation is always up to date.

Development of Activities

  • Receives information from other areas to prepare work orders.
  • Ensures that all relevant information, such as procedures and schematic drawings, is inserted into work orders.
  • Checks the dossiers for dispatching the new equipment, checks the items and reports of problems.
  • Assembles and tests the equipment to make sure that the operations are running smoothly.
  • Assembles and tests equipment, carrying out the necessary checks and corrections.
  • Identifies and implements new techniques and procedures, offering the most profitable solutions to production on the Assembly Line.
  • Finalizes work orders ensuring that all necessary points have been reviewed and signed by the appropriate personnel.
  • Finalizes the status of the equipment in the control system for quality control purposes.
  • Analyzes and reports on test results.
Continuous Improvements

• Makes recommendations for solving operational problems.

• Uses advanced techniques to provide technical solutions to a variety of complex problems.

• Determines and develops approach to solutions within the objectives, term s and costs.

• Implements measures to improve equipment performance, product quality or efficiency.

• It suggests changes of equipment to increased profitability.

HSE management

  • Complies with industrial safety rules and procedures, including the use of personal industrial safety equipment.
  • Performs tasks always with a zealous sense for maintenance, cleaning, conservation, storage and control of all material, equipment, and the respective workplace.
  • Performs work in accordance with the safety, technical procedures, quality, hygiene, health and environmental preservation.

Internal and External Relations

  • It works closely with other teams from other areas to minimize production hours and quality challenges.
Qualifications

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Good understanding of a work planning.
  • Interpretation of a Technical Documentation.
  • Ensure that understand all the processes related to the Assembly Line.
  • Solid knowledge of the tests to be performed on the equipment.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools used in the workplace.
  • Ability to understand the processes and equipment to be used.
  • Knowledges of equipment catkins of personal protection.

DESIRED

Knowledge of hydraulic control systems

Mechanically Experience

Computer knowledge from the user's perspective.

Fluent in English and Portuguese

Ability to work in a team environment, remaining attentive to ideas, recognizing responsibilities, and actively participating with others to accomplish assignments and achieve desired goals.

Working Conditions

This position is considered ONSHORE WORK which is characterized as follows.

• Outdoors and indoors, day and night, infrequently over/near water.

• Requires working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment.

• Frequently the humidity is above 90%, noise is over 85 decibels, and the light are intense/glare.

• Potential exposure to open fire/flames/sparks.

• Constant exposure to airborne dust fumes, and gases,

• Work surface is stable, height is elevated.

• Requires working outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions.
