JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is looking for Offshore HES Advisors who will report to an HES Professional / Supervisor onshore, but also takes direction from the Offshore Superintendent or On-Site Rig Supervisors while offshore.

This is an expression of interest role and if active would be based in Equatorial Guinea, on a rotational basis of 28x28.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively contribute to building a relationship of trust with the crew, 3rd party contractors, and On-Site Supervisors. In addition, coaches crews to heighten hazard awareness and promote safety work practices to foster a strong safety culture.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of WODC Standards and WODC-EG Management System Procedures.
  • Provide orientation to personnel in accordance with WODC-EG HES Orientation Procedure.
  • Report all incidents, concerns, and issues to the On-Site Supervisor(s).
  • Assist On-Site Supervisor with ensuring Standards, HES Beliefs and Life Critical Safety Rules are being adhered to on site.
  • Be present during rig moves, casing jobs, frac jobs, flow back operations, and any other high risk activities.
  • Attend and assist during safety meetings, JSEA writings, crew meetings, etc. Introduce creative measures that result in full meeting participation and promote development of the individual's communication skills.
  • Conduct Tier I audits and track corrective actions to closure.
  • Promote Behavioral Based Safety, Stop Work Authority and After Action Reviews among on-site personnel. Monitor contractor BBS program performance
  • Assist the On-Site Supervisor with incident investigations
  • Ensure the investigation process takes place and appropriate corrective actions are identified and corrected.
  • Ensures all site specific draft investigations are completed within 24 hours of the incident occurring and issued to the HES Professional / Supervisor.
  • Assist with emergency response planning, training, and drills.
  • Assist with ensuring MOC permit to work policy is followed, or the contractor's, depending on the stipulations within the approved Bridging Document.
  • Complete Daily HES Reports for all areas of responsibility and email them to the HES Professional, On-Site Supervisor, and the HES Supervisor daily.
  • Assist with maintaining a site specific corrective action list to be accessed by the On-Site Supervisor
  • Complete the site specific Tier I audit checklist and report issues of non-compliance with corrective actions to the On-Site Supervisor and HES Professional / Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Similar HES experience within an offshore environment
  • Some experience in rigging preferred
  • Good command of English (written and spoken)
