The Senior Database Administrator will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and integration of databases across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills, clear communication abilities, and a consistent history of successful project delivery. Analytical prowess and the capacity to devise innovative solutions are essential. We are seeking a highly motivated individual eager to advance their career in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities May Include:
  • Designing, developing, and implementing database solutions.
  • Leading the team in delivering 24/7 technical support and managing various types of database management systems (DBMS).
  • Overseeing database maintenance, security measures, and daily operations of offshore team members will be key responsibilities.
  • Managing DBMS software license renewals annually is part of the role.

Required Qualifications:
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 15 or more years of experience as a Database Administrator in a mission-critical production environment (including a strong background in Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server)
  • 10 or more years of experience with monitoring software such as Oracle Enterprise Manager/Grid Control
  • Strong technical foundation in database configuration, installation, and maintenance
  • Experience implementing the overall design, monitoring, and optimizing of company databases
  • Experience supporting users and developers by resolving data-related technical issues and troubleshooting queries by guiding them with best practices
  • Experience designing, implementing, and managing high availability solutions for database architecture, ensuring continuous availability and reliability of critical systems
  • Proficient in configuring database replication, failover mechanisms, and disaster recovery strategies to minimize downtime and ensure data integrity
  • Proficient in developing comprehensive disaster recovery strategies for the enterprise
  • Proficient in regular database maintenance tasks including database defragmentation, backups, and database replication
  • Knowledge of SSAS, SSIS, SSRS
  • Database migrations between cloud providers and on-premises data centers
  • Knowledge of enterprise license renewals for MS SQL, Amazon, and Oracle
  • Experience with Linux and Windows environments
  • PowerShell and Unix shell scripting skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to create automation for repeating database tasks

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
  • 5 or more years of experience with cloud technologies such as Amazon RDS and MS Azure
  • Recommend and implement emerging database technologies
  • Proficient in Terraform coding for cloud environments
  • Ability to use a scripting language to automate database administration tasks
  • Proficient in Perl scripting
