We are looking for an experienced Mechanical / Hydraulic Technician to join a multi-skilled team, with primary responsibility for the maintenance, repair and servicing of a wide range of ROV Launch and Recovery systems. Core responsibilities are to:
  • Participate in the planned maintenance of ROV LARS and associated equipment
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and in compliance with all technical and project requirements
  • Use logical fault-finding techniques during breakdown situations
  • Assist in the identification and ordering of suitable spare parts to ensure they are available when required
  • Interface with other workshop disciplines as and when required
  • Compile and maintain technical records, reports and logs using the workshop request system & SAP.
  • Provide technical information to administration team to enable SAP equipment reports to be updated
  • Maintain and promote a safe working environment within the department and the Company
  • Ensure Mechanical / Hydraulic Team Lead is updated on all aspects of assigned jobs
  • Perform any other necessary tasks within experience and capabilities.

What experience would we like you to have?
  • Demonstrable Mechanical/Hydraulic knowledge on a wide range of A-frames, Winches and HPU's
  • Recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship.
  • Hydraulic Level II Certification
  • PC literate and proficient in Microsoft software applications
  • Further Education HNC would be advantageous
  • ROV Workshop or relevant offshore would be advantageous
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, builds and maintains positive collaborative relationships.
  • Accustomed to updating computerised and manual systems.
  • Effective planning and organising skills, able to identify and effectively prioritise workload and efficiently meet multiple, often competing deadlines.
  • Flexible to adapt to changing priorities within a fast-paced 24/7 global business.
  • Pro-active with a solutions-based approach, demonstrates initiative and ownership to deliver workload unsupervised while flexible to support wider team activities.
  • Committed to continuous improvement and identification of efficient work methods and processes.
  • Attention to detail, methodical, works at all times in a safe manner.
