As an HVAC Controls Engineer at Honeywell, you will be responsible for designing building control systems, including DDC controller systems. Your role will involve selecting the appropriate combination of hardware, software, equipment, materials, and services from the Honeywell product and applications portfolio to deliver the highest value to customers while supporting overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and engineer hardware applications, control drawings, valve sizing, control device selection, damper sizing, and schedules.
- Communicate technical concepts and solutions to internal and external customers, conducting site walks, reviewing customer specifications, and identifying opportunities, risks, and resources required for successful project outcomes.
- Review job contract plans, scope, and specifications, survey information, sales sketches, estimates, and take-off sheets to identify opportunities and prepare proposals.
- Prepare submittals per engineering standards, ensuring commitment dates are met, and review submittals with sales and delivery teams.
- Support sales and project managers in surveys, application selection, layout of retrofit opportunities, and assessing customers' business objectives and strategies.
- Collaborate with the software and graphics design teams to coordinate the development of the complete controls system.
- Provide support to technicians during commissioning activities.
- Work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with project managers, field technicians, solution design center, and field engineers to improve efficiency and support project deployment.
- Prepare job drawings as required to meet deadlines.

MUST HAVES:
- Bachelor's degree or College Diploma in Building Systems or a relevant field.
- Proficiency in using AutoCAD.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC control system design.
- Ability to obtain customer-required level 2 Security clearance.
