We are seeking an experienced BMS Project Engineer to join our team, based out of Cannon Hill, QLD.

Reporting into the Engineering Program Supervisor, the purpose of the role is assisting the Project Manager on the delivery of BMS projects for the team. You will be responsible for the delivery of the project from initial design through to managing final commissioning.

The Project Engineer will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager on the delivery of BMS and Integrated Systems projects for which they have been allocated. You will be responsible for coordinating the requirements of various key internal and external stakeholders ranging from Sales, Project Management, Engineering and Service, through to Customers and Customer site employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of high BMS / HVAC principles and design.
  • Assessment of customer site for installation requirements, installation design
  • Sales Assistance, involving innovative use of latest technology in establishing system design, and providing project estimates.
  • Prepare submittals per engineering standards, ensuring commitment dates are met. Review submittals with sales and delivery teams and lead team to obtain submittal approval.
  • Definition of scope
  • Planning / scheduling of project execution including attendance to builder's design meetings.
  • Develop software, perform 'bench testing' if required and deliver commissioning package to field. Assist delivery in startup as required.
  • Control systems design, implementation and documentation.
  • Provide technical direction to project team members.

Key Experience, Qualifications and Capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics - Preferred
  • Project management professional qualification - Preferred
  • Intermediate to Advanced computer skills - Essential
  • Previous experience working with highly complex control solutions.
  • Involvement in the design of a BMS / HVAC system with ABGR / Green Star requirements
  • Proven track record in a project engineering capacity involved in the delivery of technology-based projects.
  • Knowledge of networking, database technology and trends in BMS / HVAC would be highly advantageous
