The Software Engineer will work closely with architecture and engineering teams as an entry-level developer in the GBE Enablement team within Aerospace Technologies. The position requires fair knowledge and some experience of Cloud/web and mobile application development. In this role you will get chance to use your analytical skills and programming to help design and develop the software which plays a critical role in the Connected Aircraft ecosystem. This position reports into Sr Engineering Manager within Services and Connectivity group and is based in Phoenix, AZ.

Responsibilities

• Understanding of feature requirements and ability to propose a design.
• Develop software micro services using React, Node.js and any other required tech stack
• Support iOS mobile application development.
• Translating wireframes and designs into high quality code
• Integrate code with other team members using standard DevOps tool chain.
• Optimizing code for speed
• Adhering to Sprint and exhibiting high degree of ownership
• Optimizing components for performance in different browsers
• Integrating Mapping components

Must have

• Engineering degree Computer Science or associated qualification
• Hands on experience in software development

We value

• Proficiency in java object model and java script
• Understanding of React.js core principles
• Understanding of iOS application development
• Basic understanding of front-end technology HTML5, CSS
• Familiarity with RESTful API, SOAP API
• Knowledge on authorization mechanism such as JSON web token, Oauth2
• Knowledge on interacting with the Node.js/Java backend API
• Familiarity with code versioning such as BitBucket
• Ability of understanding technical requirements
