Are you passionate about programming control systems? Do you want to work with a broad specter of different equipment used in the drilling industry?

Then you should join our Field Engineering team in Stavanger! Our team works closely together in multidisciplined teams.

You will be programming new functionality, upgrades and improvements to our extensive customer base. We deliver upgrades to drill ships and drilling rigs and our Cyberbase Chairs are the main hub where almost all operational tasks are performed.

Our products are in high demand and as an experienced member of our Field Engineering team, you will work closely with other technical disciplines in NOV and have contact with both customers and suppliers. You will guide and mentor our junior engineers and deliver complex control systems, giving you a good opportunity for professional development.

Based on your preference, we also offer you the opportunity to travel, both on- and offshore in Norway and abroad.

You will work with:

• Update NOV control systems with new functionality
• Perform inhouse test and quality assure our deliveries
• Create and update technical documentation
• Technical Support to our sales engineers, field service technicians and our customers

You will have:

• Education from technical college or university within Computer Science, Computer Software Technology, Computer Networks or related fields or extensive experience in the area.
• General Microsoft operating software knowledge.
• Experience with the one or more of the following technologies:
• Network and router configurations
• Programming HMI/SCADA systems
• Microsoft programming languages
