Job Description Title: Rope Access Technician

Location: Singapore

REQUIREMENTS:

• Shipyard SSIC
• WAH certificate
• Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant field
• Minimum 3 years involved in structural work
• IRATA Level 3

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Perform NDE inspection of oilfield related equipment such as NOV Drilling equipment.
• Preparing parts for inspection, inspecting parts and interpreting results and creating reports.
• An experienced rope access technician to join our on-site team to execute and oversee projects, both in Singapore and abroad.
• May be required to attend client meetings from time to time and liaise with customer about project requirements.
• Act as the focal point on site for the company, liaising with project management in the office to ensure the scope is carried out safely and to plan.
• Identify and list down required material, tools and equipment based on different type of NDT scope of work.
• Onsite work planning/execution and coordination of work whenever there is conflicts/incompatible of work.
• Taking care of company's property.
• Liaise with project management in office and follow up with site surveys when required.
• Responsible for maintaining discipline and cooperation with the workforce under their supervision.
• Responsible for maintaining the daily reporting, and day to day forms, permits as may be required for the project in hand.
• Responsible for the well-being and safe operating practices of personnel working under their supervision.
• Responsible for training other on-site technicians as well as training them in company procedures.
• Maintain good communication with client and office to ensure that projects run smoothly and efficiently.
• Office working hours are 8am -5pm, Monday to Friday, however site work will often involve hours outside of this timing.
• Help with groundwork at sites around Singapore when required.
• Preferable if technician has experience in rope access derrick building.
• International travel required.
• Scope of work may be adjusted at any time if operations or admin duties are required.

Technical Competencies

• Ability to read and understand NDT procedures / drawings.
• ISO 9712 Certification in at least one NDT discipline
• IRATA Level 3

Quality Essential Desirable Qualifications:

• ISO 9712 certified in at least one NDT discipline
• IRATA Level 3

• LEEA Certified

Experience:

• Working experience in rigs

• Structural experience

Skills, training or special knowledge

• Proficient in Microsoft packages (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Proficient in updating ERP systems

Quality Assurance

Carry out all duties in accordance with the Quality Assurance procedures and department/area work instructions.

Contribute to general improvements in the quality and key activities of the department/area.

Training Participate in training where required. Health, Safety and Environment
