Travel
Flexibility for travel is essential, ranging between 20% and 30%, encompassing both domestic and international destinations such as the UK and Australia. Primary Responsibilities
- Design and write software in various programming languages for equipment and/or applications
- Assist in the development and maintenance of commissioning and software documentation including updates after release.
- Lead designers in the development of electrical, schematic, interconnect, cabling, and assembly drawings.
- Provide support for the implementation, training, and troubleshooting of software and hardware assembly products.
- Develop and debug software prior to release.
- Work with customers (internal/external) and review project defining documents to understand project requirements and generate internal project quotations.
- Participate in design reviews and customer sales meetings.
- Design and program HMI interfaces for various applications.
- Provide field support at customer's site (sometimes remote) in extreme climates and environments.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
- Follow NOV processes and procedures to document projects and components used.
- Devise, construct, and assess electronic and digital apparatus for the operation and condition monitoring of industrial equipment.
- Provide comprehensive training to both internal and external stakeholders on the utilization and advantages of NOV's integrated solutions.
- Address customer concerns through adept troubleshooting, offering sales support, and generating quotations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Engineering Technology degrees are also considered.
- 5 or more years' experience in designing control systems and programming PLC and HMI interfaces.
- 5 or more years' experience in Project Engineering and designing within a budget.
- Knowledge of hazardous area standards including, but not limited to, ATEX, IECEx, and NEC.
- Experience with Siemens, Beckhoff, or LabView equipment or similar large scale controls equipment platform.
